Mr. Horace Green, the special corres poiident ol the .New iork Evening I'oßt, is revisiting Germany after nearly a. year's absence, and in a letter dated October o ho deals with the changing spirits of the Germans, tliue mainly to their tremendous losses. He writes The German casualties lor the single week ended October 1 were (31,955. m other 'words, 61,905 German citizens, more than 8,850 a day, have been killed, wounded, or taken prisoner during the last seven days of Russian warfare. The seven days from September 23 to •Sl> inclusive were not above the average of the past two months. In each column of the lists were 120 names. September 30 there were 72 columns of names, making a total of 8640 losses. On September 29 there were 60 columns giving 7200 names, and the losses for other days of the week 11 g ured in the same way as follows--

Septciriber 28, 9000; September 27, 8625; September 26, no list posted; September 25 11,080; September 24, 8810; September 23, 8700.

By far the greatest number of losses wore sustained by the Prussians. It is reported that the Prussians alone havo lost more than 2.000.000 men up tc this date.
