The Cabinet meeting to discuss compulsion lasted two and a hall hours. AVi Asquith immediately afterwards held a War Council meeting, Lord Kitchener, Sir Jhkhvardi v*rey and Mi Balfour being present.
There was a full attendance of Ministers at tile Cabinet nieetiug. ifou crowd in tlio street was so great thai the .police cleared Downing street. -Mr Lloyd. George was heartily cheered.
