A letter was accordingly sent, but that supreme body took no action—that is, as far as the club is concerned. A second letter has now oeen sent, and it is hoped the Union wll see that the shield is handed to the president, cap tain or secretary of the club. The shield is theirs, and therefore they, and not private individuals, have u right to it. Providing no satisfacion is given, within the next few days, the New Zealand Rugby Union is to ho askod to take up the raatter.
