The High Commissioner reports:-— General headquarters report that tho ei;emy exploded, a iiiin-e south-east of Vpies, but the crater was occupied uy our bombers who drove off the attackers. To-day our artillery was active and damage was done to hostile trenches. There has been ten flir combats in which an enemy aeroplane was driven down. Thirteen French aeroplanes bombarded the enemy's aviation camp at Hibslieim and hangars were hit. The enemy made futile attempts to chase the machines. A squadron of French aeroplanes in collaboration with British aeroplanes bombarded the German aerodrome at Hervilly, in the Soiiune district. Paris, December 10. There has been grenade fighting in Artois. Big French hombs blew up a German ammunition depot in the region of Traeylevale. 'There has been further intense aerial Activity to our advantage.
