If fowls are confined and have little exercise andl no dust-bath they are apt to learn feather-pulling. Do not overforcc tho growing pullets by-means of The more naturally, they grow" the better. Shelter from wind and shade from the sun are necessary v. tor tho -good health of birds whether old or young. Do not Seep a distinct -weakling or a deformed chicken. As a rule they prove unprofitable to rear. Crushed oats are always a valuable addition to~the growing bird's ration. .Do not forget that late-hatched) stock aro unprofitable, and that the proper hatching sSason iB past.
