Two brothers, John and 1 Alexander Young were discovered wounded, it appears that t-hey quarrelled and Alexander shot John, and then attempted Buicide. When assistance arrived lie implored them to save his brother John, who sinoe lias died. SOLDIERS LOOKING IF OH TROUBLE. Sydney, Dec. 1. A band of soldiers inclined to riotous behaviour, again paraded tho city streets last night, and threatened the German Club. The police dispersed them and no damage was done. STATE BAKING MONOPOLY. The caucus decided to adopt the Hon D. Hall's State Baking monopoly in tho metropolitan area. THE TOTALISATOR. In tho Assembly the Hon W. Holman stated that the Government was against the introduction of tho totalisator, but would allow a private member to introduce a bill.
