Before Mr J. W. Poynton, S.M., at this morning's sitting or the above Court Urahain McDonald was chargeu with obstructing a parade at the drill hall on the 17th November. McDonaldi did not appear. Sergt-Major Daniels said that on the occasion in question, McDonald was riding round the company on a bi v-'e and when ordered out or the hall by Lieutenant Parker, who was in change, he mfused to go. He l&erg .Uaj* J Daniels) then ordered him out and he again refused to go. Hie lad in question was the worst behaved of the whole company and at last night's paradto he was again ordered ou. Mr Poynton imposed a fine of £•">, .ith costs 7s in default 28 ;ar» unprl orient. Robert Wilson appeared on a similar charg; and pleaded guilty. The evidence adduced by the Sei'gtMajor was to the effect that on th_ same night crackers were being thrown iuto the hall, andi Wilson was one ol those who threw crackers. Since that occasion Wilson's conduct had been good. A fine of £1 with costs was imposed. One month was allowed m which t£ pay the fine.
