Sir, —It is good of yon to print our letters, andi it's very kind of people to think about orphans and fry to help them. Theygive us a Christinas Tree every year at the home, and are no end of good to us. I've a brother who is an orphan, so I'll just tell you about him. Hifc name's Jim, and he only nine (I'm eleven). "Well it was just like~ tHis: Father was drowned, and then mother tried to keep w, but wo hadn't many friends in New Zealand, and there were Jim (and; me) anil the two little girls. Mum did all she could, lint she wasn't strong; so the people took Jim (and me) to the Or phanage. Jim (that's my brother) ha.s a nice little Tvliit{£ cot. There's a 1.-t more in the room, Uul it's bo clean and bright, <and the "mother" is ao land. Jim gete lessons and holidays just like any other boys, an<l he is going to he a carpenter when he gets big. (I'm going to be a carter, and drive horses I) But yon should: just see some of the little, tiny children when they bring them here first: oh, they are poor! And their clothes are not half as nice as those that Jim (that's me brotlnr; has now. I look after Jim; I'm bigger nor he is. You should hear us sing; and Jim's learning to recito ".Wanted—A Boy." • I wish I could see the sunshine people who coax Father I Christmas out of hie old snow house, i J hope lie has got a box of tools for Jim and a big whip for-- .
