ANN UAL MEETING. The Levin Coronation Swimming Club held its annual meeting in t.nu Borough Chambers last evening. lho s previous annual meeting was held 111 u 1913. tl Mi 1 vV. Walker occupied the chair. a . It was reported that the club had a balance of £() lis 6d in hand. Regarding the suspension of the club q b„' tho VVellington centre Mr A. Demp--6 sey said that he had understood from L Mr Collier who was in Levin a littie ■ t while ago Avitli the members of the 4 Wellington 'Royal Life-saving team I that the Wellington centre would re : move the suspension if requested to do bo; Messrs R. C. Rockell, C. Walker, G Dawson, W. Rose, T. Clark, iv. Clark, E. Clark, D. Wallace, W. 110w T _ an, J. Cork,'A. Cork and O. Rodgers r were elected new members. The following ollicors were elected 3 Patron, Mr A\. H. Field, M. P. 5 president, Mr B. R. Gardener, vicepresidents,. Messrs W. M. Clark. D S. Mackenzie, D. . Matheson, ,H. Denton, J. C. Noill, Dr Ji. A. B. Davies, Dr R. Bryson; captain of the club, Mi- W. Walker j vice-captaiu, Mr A. Dempsey; seore- " ! tary, Mr O. Rodgers j treasurer, Mr Ci. ; committee oi 'managenienti, 1 Messrs H. Denton, W. Clark, W. Ros?, ' E. W. J. Smith, D.'Wallaco; delegates ' to tho Wellington centre, Messrs O. l " llodgers and H. Denton; auditor, Mr ' W. Eccleton; handicapper and starter. Mi W. Walker. It was decided that the annual subscription to the club be 2s Gd for adult members (over 1(3 years of age) and 'e l'oi j unions. The secretary was instructed to ' write to the Wellington centre explaiu- • ing that the present club is practically a new club, and ask lor the removal of the suspension. On the motion of Mr A. Dempsey Mr B. C. Freyberg was elected a lite membor of tilie club. It was agreed, that a special general meeting be hold on Friday, November 19th, to consider the arrangements tor the opening day of tlie club's season, and the organization ot sports 011 thai day. All members and intending members and those who take any interest in swimming are invited to attend. Atr Dempsey reported that Mr Duffy, of the Wellington liflc-saving team, had offered: to visit Levin during Ins holidays and give instructon in swi.nmina and life-saving. A hearty vote of appreciation ot Mr Duffy's offer was carried, and iwas agreed to accept his offer. A vote of thanks to the chair ter.minatcd the meeting.
