They offered an exceptionally Heavy yarding o l ' cattle and a small entry of sheep to a very good attendance of the public. Competition was very keen throughout the sale, and they report practically a total clearsuico of about 1000 head! of cattle under the hammer. Quota:—Fat ewes 22s Od; empty heifers £2 10s, £3, £3 10s to £4 ss; mixed yearlings 5Ms, 32s (3d, £2, to £'J lis; fat bullocks N £l2, £12 10s to £13; fat cows t(i, £6 10s, £6 17s 6d, £7 (3s to £Z 12s; forward cows £5, £5 10s, to £6; fat heifers to £7 iOs; yearling steers £2 10s, £2 lCs; 18-months steers £3 10s, £-1, to £4 12s (3d; 2-year steers £5, £5' os, to £o 12s 6d; 3-year steers £(i 2s (id, £7 10s, £7 15s, to £8; 3*and 4-year steers £8 Is, £0, £10 lis lo £12 15s; store cows £4, £4 ss, £4 10s to £<3. A line of 40 2-year Hereford heifers realized £o 10s. • Bu Us £4 10s to £7. A line ot springing heifers £6 10s. The same firm report having held their Waikanae sale on Tuesday when they offered a small entry of cattle.
