The old bugbear of having to prepare bluestone and quicklime to make Bordeaux mixture is quite a thing of the past/ thanks to modern sebmce. The celebrated lime-sulphur which needs only the .addition of _>,vater to make the complete spray, and at only a fraction of the cost ol Bordeaux mixture is now the recognised preparation for grape-vines, • tomato, potatoes, and fruit trees. Supplies of the preparation from one pint to fifty gallons can be obtained from Mr C. 8. Keedwell, chemist. .v new'advertisement from J. O. Shorland and Co.. cycle dealers, Wellington, appears on page 2. It gives details o f bargain-priced bicycles, ranging from £5 10s to £6. A farm of 14J- acres, situated near Levin, is for sale by Mr. Groy Phillips, land agent, Oxford street. The buildings are obm modiolus and the live stock goes with the farm. The price is £1500, 'and favourahle terms are available. Further details appear by advertisement on page 3.
