He loft with us his cheque for £10 as tlie nucleus of a Levin fund to bo forwarded to Wellington in due course. The movement is an excellent ono, au<l tlie Chronicle will be pleased to receive, acknowledge aim transmit to Wellington any further subscriptions. Time passes and it will be necessary to close the list within a fortnight so from present date, to ensure that the gifts will be received by tho soldiers at tho festive soason.
