Local lines meet with ready sale. New potatoes are arriving from Auckland district, and are bringing satisfactory prices. Uood seed lines are very scarce. Pollard and bran are firm at last week's rates. Good business is being done in prime chaff, and values iiavo advanced. Lower prices are being obtaineu lor inferior quality. Oats are stationary. Wheat has weakened slightly since last report. Eggs aro plentiful, and meeting ready sale, out there is a (slightly weaker tendency. The trade i: rape, turnip seed, etc., is very brisui. We have still a quantity of button & pedigree rape in stock, but orders sJiould reach us early. The selling prices for porkers keeps up well, ana the demand is decidedly good. We could do with large consignments a both honey and beeswax. Orders lui superphosphates can now be executed without delay. Vegetables.—There is an abundant, supply of spring cabbage arriving from JLlutt and country districts, and values are low. Choice canliiioivuns aie m short supply, and selling at high rates. Large supplies of lettuce are arriving, and prices are weaker. There is a good good uemand for swedes. Parsnips a . selling at last week's rates. Choice table carrots and white turnips meet good demand. Celery, spring onions, and leeks are meeting ready sale. The demand remains good for rhubarb, which is arriving in unify uirge (jiiajuu ies. Good quality Nelson green peas are now arriving daily, and meet good demand at improved rates. Strawberries.—First oonsignmon ts have arrived from Auckland, and realised satisfactory prices.
