It was reported that special j>rizefhad been donated by lireodcm for the .Mjina'vvatii Spring ,Slimv. among them being Messrs I). Buick and Son's trophy, £10 10s for most points; Mr .Tames Grant's trophy, .£5 os. for champion cow or heifer: .Mr HO. I jaw's trophy for best pen of two heifers; and the Milking Association's trophy, £5 ss, for champion-bull.

The secretary reported Liiat Volume I ot the Herd Book was now in the hands of the printer, and would be ready next month.

The annual meeting.of the Association was fixed for show week at the secretary's office.

Entries for Volume II of the Jle.icl Book, numbering 24 'bulls and -10 cmvs, which has been passed by the judges ■were approved by the council.

Semi-official testing records received for two cows entered by Mr E. Law were above the standard. A number of other breeders have now put animals under tost, and much more interest i.s being taken hy breeders in ascertaining the records of their cmvs. Transfers of animals sold were approved and recorded—Evening Standard.
