Local lines meet with, ready sale. Now are \ arriving from Auckland district, and are bringing satisfactory prices. Good seed lines are very ecarce. Pollard and bran are firm at last week's rates. Good business is being done in prime chaff, and values have advanced. Lower prices are being obtained for inferior quality. Oats are stationary. Wheat has weakened slightly since last report. Eggs anrplentiful, and meeting ready sale, but there is a slightly weaker tendency. The trade i , rape, turnip seed, etc., is very brisk. We have still a quantity of Sutton'e pedigree rape in stock, but orders should reach us early. The selling prices for porkers keeps up well, and the demand ie decidedly good. Wo could do with large consignments of both honey and beeswax. Orders for superphosphates can now be executed without delay. Vegetables.—There is an abundant; supply of spring oabbage arriving from Hutt and country districts, and values arc low. Choice cauliflowers are in short supply, and selling at high rates. Largo supplies of lettuce are arriving, and prices are weaJEer. There is a good good demand for swedes. Parsnips :i v .selling at last week's rates. Choice table carrots and white turnips meet good demand. Celery, spring onions, and leeks are meeting ready sale. The demand . remains good for rhubarb, which is arriving in fairly largo quantities.
