Potatoes are still being exported to Australia, and wilucs remain linu. Local Lines meet with ready sale. Now ■potatoes are arriving from Auckland district, and are bringing satisfactory prices. Good seed lines are very scarce, l'ollard and bran are linn 'at last week's rates. Good business is being done in prime chad', and valuer, have advanced. Lower prices are being obtained for inferior quality. Oats arc station-
ary. Wheat has weakened slightly since last, report. Eggs are-plentiful, and meeting ready sale, but there is a slightly weaker tendency. The trade i;. rape, turnip seed, etc., is very brisk. We have .still ;>■ quantity of Sutton's pedigree rape in stock, but orders should reach us early. The .selling prices for porkers keeps up well, ami the demand is decidedly good. We could do with large consignments of both honey and bees'wax. Orders for .superphosphates can now be executed without delay. v
Vegetables.—There is an abundant supply of spring cabbage arriving from Hutt and country districts, and values are low. Choice cauliflowers are in short supply, and selling at high r;*tes. Large supplies of lettuce are arriving, and prims are weaker. There is a good good demand /for swedes. Parsnips aVe selling at last weed's rates. Choice table carrots and w'iite turnips meet good demand. Celery, spring onions, and leeks are meeting mady sale. The demand remains good lor rhubarb, which is arriving in fairly large quantities. Good quality Nelson given peas are now arriving da.il.v, and meet good demand at improved rates.
Strawberries.—First consignments have arrived from Auckland, aiiTl realised satisfactory 'prices. Consignments should come to hand regularly from now on.
Potatoes.—North Island lines. £9 Southern. £9 10s to ClO per ton.
Potatoea, Seed.—Specially selected southern grown Up-to-dates, Northern Star, Gamekeepers, £6 per ton. 10s less for ton lots.
