(iiy our Resident Representative). The ladies of tho Methodist Ohurcli had a sale of work last week and satisfactorily disposed of 7 the goods which had boen left over from the Fiehing Roat fund. Half the proceeds will bo sent to the Patriotic Fund. Notwithstanding the blustering weather on Wednesday afternoon a number of bowlers turned up at the green to indulge in their favourite pastime. The tennis players were also in ovidence and several friendly games wore played. On the bowling green Bilderbeck, Crawloy and Gunning (skip) 23 defeated Gardner, Moffatt and Butts 18. The green is in good order and no doubt will bo better still as the soason advances.
