Barton Bros Circus

Barton Bros' new circus wiY appear in Shannon next Thursday and at Levin next Friday, 7th and Bth October. A host of artists have just arrived by s.s. Manuka and Ulimaroa, to further strengthen Mr Barton's already huge combination. Shand and IShaiid, comedy acrobats are among the new arrivals. They come with the very best of credentials as artists with great reputations; also, the three Dentines, amazing and sensational aorialists who perform some death-defying feats. Mr Moe Arons, direct from St. Leon's United States circus, and Alvino. the funniest of all clowns arrived together. Alicia, a skilful lady juggler, and Miss KatiV Montgomery, the acknowledged lady champion rider, were among the ladies, who made their first appearance Avith Mr Barton. Another great attraction for this tour is "Coco and Oliico." the human chimpanzees. This remarkable team has been engaged by special arrangement with [Messrs John Fuller and Sous. There will also appear a number of old favourites, including Miss Ethel Ashton, the clever and versatile performer: Mr Roy .Barton, the premier Bareback rider; Gardiner and Lo Mar, champion ju-jitsu experts: ' Mr Tex McCloud, the genuine Mexican cowboy: and Mr Tommy Janirs. New Zealand's champion buckjuniping rider ; with the full complement of trained horses, educated mules, dogs and monkeys. A free exhibition will be given at Shannon at 7.30 p.m. o'tf Thursday, and Friday at Levin, bv Mr Viotor Dentine, who avHI perform in the open a daring and sensational slide lor life, sliding a distance ol 100 feet suspended only by fhe tooth.
