Autumn bogins on March 21st; Wintor oil June 21st (tho shortest day); Spring commences on September 23rd ; Summer on December 22nd (the longest day). From observations, extending over a number of years, it appears that, on the average the hottest period is from the 21st to the 25th of .January, and the coldest from the 20th to the 2<llh of July.
