There has been no change in tho pot ato market during the week. \\'e again advise our .North Island growers •who may still hold stocks to send them forward without delay, as it is not advisable to hold longer. The demand lor seed lines is now intermittent. Good quality lots are, however, available. Imported onions have now taken the place oi local grown. There lias not been much movement in grain during tho week,. The impression is thai wiieat will decline still further, but that oats are now likely to hold steady, especially lor A grade. Bran and pollard have linned slightly since tho rapid drop of last week, but values are unsteady. Ohalf and other forage is dull ot sale. During the week tho Calcutta shipments of wool packs arrived, and country orders have been despatched. Jute goods of all kinds have during tho last two months taken u sharp rise, due to a large demand for war purposes in Russia and elsewherl:— Porkers are wanted >u large quantities, also eggs. Since last report large quantities of Spring cabbage have been arriving, and in consequence lower prices are ruling. Choice cauliflowers, which are in short supply, are realising'liigli prices.
