CLEARING SALE.
The >'ew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Ltd. report having conducted a clearing *ale on account of Mr B. L. Bacchus, at Mauakau. on 23rd inst. There was a large attendance of buyers, and competition was keen and sustained throughout, with the result that we have to report a very satisfactory sale, and the following prices wore realised:— Mixed aged ewes and 100 per cent lambs 335; mixed aged owes and 80 per co.ui lambs 30s 5(1; ewe hoggets low condition) 17s; fat owes 29s Gd; forward ewes 235-Id; store owes 21s l)d; aged rams l"s; yearling steers £3 12s; 18montlis empty heifers £2 7s (3d; 2-year empty heifers £3 12s; forward empty cows £0 16s; store cows JC-1; dairy cows in milk £8 15s to £9 ss; heifers in milk £3 10s to M 17s Cd; harness horse (aged) £25; child's pony M 7s Gd; gigs £6 10s, JtO; furniture and sundries made excellent V r '^ & -
