We strongly recommend our North Island clients not to hold back supplies, as a slump may occur towards the end ol the season, aud an early spring is in sight. Seed potatoes are in lair demand, and good lines are ollering. These aro still being shipped to Australia in largo quantities. Very little business is passing in any grains excepting African maize and seed oats, for which there is a lair demand. The fact that oaits can nw Lie exported will doubtleKK have a tendency to iirni the market. In any case, no further decline in values is expected until tho next harvest. Pollard and bran have fallen again in value and much larger trade is now anticipated. Ohaif is yuiut, and hay is hard to sell. An excellent demand continues ior iarm aud grass eoods, and largo quantities ol fertilisers are being booked up lor spring delivery. Porkers are in good demand. Eggs are stationary. Linseed oil cake is in good demand, for call feeding, and each soaaon aces a much larger consumption of tins pureand valuable food. Tiio market ij uiider-bupplied 'with choice caulillow n's and savoy cabbage. Several .small consignments of spring cabbage are arriving, and ior well-packeU lines are Belling at high, prices. Iron bark pumpkins are meeting good enquiry. (Jhoicy lettuce is scarce, and high rati« are ruling for well graded lines. SwuUes are meeting bettor bale. Tho enquiry for parsnips remains quiet. Choice table carrots and while turnipn ado ill good demand.
