THJii NEW ZEALAND FARMERS' COOPERATIVE DISTRIIi UTINU COMPANY, LTD. WEEKLY REPORT. Wellington Sept. 3. Potatoes arc in good demand, and la-rge supplies could be token. We strongly recommend our North Island cliente not to hold back supplies, as a slump may occur towards tho end ol' tjio season, and an early spring is in , sight. Seed potatoes are in fair demand, and good lines are oiiering. These are still being shipped to Australia in largo quantities. Very little business is passing in any grains excepting African maiue and seed oats, for which there is a fair demand. TJie fact that oats can now be exported will doubtless 'have a tendency to lirm tho market. In any case, no further decline in values is expected uutil the next harvest. Pollard and bran hiavo fallen again in value and much larger trade is now anticipated. Chalf is quiet, and huy is Jiard to sell. An excellent demand continues lor larm and grass seeds, and large quantities ol fertilisers are being booked up lor ispiiiig delivery. Porkers are in goud demand. Eggs are stationary. Linseed oil cake is in guod demand for call feeding, and each season (sees a much larger consumption of this pure .and valuable iood. Tne market a, under-supplied 'with choice caulillowii's and .savoy cabbage. Several small cont? signmonis t>l s2>ring cabbage are arriving, and lor well-packed Hues are belling at high prices. Ironbark pumpkins are meeting good enquiry. Choice lettuce is scarce, and Jngii rates arc ruling for well graded imes. Sn-udos are meeting better sale. Tho enquiry lor parsnips remains quiet. Choice 3 table carrots and while turnips are ai good demand. Choice celery, spring ' onions, and leeks meet lair sale. RhuS barb fruiu the Jiutt meets an excellent _ sale at satisfactory prices. Recent consignments of early peas have been selling at 2s 0d to 2s Ud per peck. A good demand continued lor choice cookS ing and dessert apples, and we could handle larger consignments.
