We strongly recommend our .North Island clients not to hold back supplies, as a slump may occur towards the end oi the season, and early (Spring is in sight. Seed potatoes are in lair demand, and good lines are oilering. These uro still being shipped to Australia .11 large quantities. Very Utile business is passing in any grams excepting Airican maize and seed oats, lor which there is a lair demand. Pollard and bran have lalien again m value, and much larger trade is now anticipated. Chaff is quiet,, and hay is hard to sell. An excellent demand continues lor larin and grass seeds, and large quantities of fertilisers are being booked up lor Spring delivery. Porkers are in good demand. Eggs are.stationary. Linseed oil cake meal is in good demand lor call feeding and each season sees a much larger consumption of this pure and valuable food. We advise clieuts to pass in their orders lor maize while supplies are available. Hickory King : _ maize is now available at a price on a " par with that of normal seasons, and orders should be booked at once. J.he market is 'over-supplied with choice cauliflowers and savoy cabbage, and high prices are ruling lor well packed lines. lroubark pumpkins are scarce, and the small consignments ottering meet keen competition. Choice lettuce is in short supply, and high rates are ruling. Swedes meet lair sale only, and the enquiry for parsnips is quiet. Choice table carrots ani.l white turnips are selling at higher rates. Choice celery meet excellent demand. .Spring onions and leeks are selling freely. Small consignments ol rhubarb nave arrived lrom the Unit duringftho week and keen competition prevails. A good demand continues lor euo-ico cooking and dessert apples, and we could handle large consignments. Choice lines oi dessert pears are eagerly bought up at high rates.
