It is therefore our duty first ol all to establish this right in tho case of our brothers without whose strength nd protection we (should have no more home or Fatherland to-day. Let us therefore declare the oi the soldier to a plot oi ground tor his home. The law should take tho following shape according to the opinion of lar-seeing patrrots: 1. The right of every soldier to a plot of ground at a eneap price, which shall be lixed, not according to the market price, but solely in relation to the assured position ol : tiie homestead must be established. 2. The taking over ol the strip ol land shall bo accomplished without any cash payment in exchange ior a moderate irredeemable rent, which shall not be raised to long as the soldier lives there or does not divest himself of the homestead. 3.Tho provision of a loan for building purposes with a moderate rato of interest and sinking fund, the necessary buildings and working capital to be provided only in the case of ga rde'.is and small holdings. The loan must cover the eutire cost ol building so that the erection of a homo for the man himself' may bo possible.
