Captain McLagleu lias just returned from the South Inland, wJiere he iuccLvssiully organised sunnar displays at Dunedin, invercargill and (Jhristcflurch and he anticipates, in view of the <;orUia' co-operation he is receiving from tho military olliciaLs here, that the Wellington display will even eclipse tho three hue performances given in the tSouth Island. One of the star attractions will be the great realistic sham battle, in which a very large number of cadets and nurses will tako part In addition to this item there will be a massed jiu-jitsu display by a large body of the Wellington police force, massed bayonet lighting, mounted and dismounted j several exciting equestrian events in which a number ot the country residents will participate and a unique test of physical endurance by Captain AlcLaglon .who will withstand tho combined pulling power of two draught horses.

The program, with several alterations, will be repeated in the evening, when the park will bo brilliantly illuminated and the sham fight will take the form of a night attack bringing in the use oi : the searchlight. The total proceeds are to be devoted to the Wounded .Soldiers' Fund which the Society consider, in view of the recent heavy casualty lists, must be considerably augmented.
