AN ADVENTURER'S CAREER.
Lincoln, as he has chosen to call himsell , appears to have been born in Paks, Hungary, in 1879, and when he disappeared from his native land in 1890 he was "wanted" by the police. in 1897 he was discovered in Whitechapel and helped by a missionary, whom he rewarded by stealing his wile's jewelry, xti 1890 he studied theology in Germany, and in that year married in Hamburg. In the following year lie turned in Canada, and after some time spent in the Presbyterian College, Montreal, he was appointed a missioner Later he joined' the Anglican Church and was ordained. In 15)03 he returned to England and became curate of Appledore, Kent.
Two years later he is hoard o! as teaching in a Quaker school in York, and in the following year appears to have imposed on Mr See boll in Rowntree -and became his private secretary. In January, 1910, he (succeeded in defeating Mr Pike Pease at the Darling-' ton election, and he made his maiden speech in February, 1910. He withdrew from Parliament at the dissolution in December. In 1911 he met his - creditors, his liabilities being returned at £1,700. A composition of 5s in the pound was arranged.—London I Times. .
