* LBy oiu Resident Representative.] MAORI CONCUR! A troupe ol Otaki Maoris gave jHi entertainment in the Druids' Hail 011 Enday night in aid of tile Maori Patriotic J'und. A varied program ol seventeen items was presented and this Mas followed by a dance. Tiie proceedings commenced by the singing of the National Anthem in English and Maori by the company, all the audience standing. A iiaka lollowed and then Mr Peiio Enoka sang a patriotic song with good effect. A group "01 Maori waihincs danced a very pretty poi dance, introducing that much-sung melody "it s a long long way to Tipperary." Tliis item was encored. Mr r'ukii Kikihanau gave a comic song, 'T'lll Henry the Eighth/' . and was lav--0111 eel with a recall. A piano solo by -Mrs H. O. Jones enabled that lady to display her powers t>i manipulation, and she certainly deserved the encore she received, which she answered by a spirited rendering of tho "■Marseillaise." I lie Misses Hohipuha sang a patriotic duet very sweetly and were loudly encored. Mr Joe Moses gave a humorous recitation and an encoro with "Put if Down to Me." A ltaukawa poi dance concluded the iimt part. During the interval a model of a Maori house was put up for sale by auction and a small sum was realised by the sale and re-salo of the article. The second part consisted oi a Jiaka by Maori warriors, a Highland liing by two little Maoris, a 6ong by Miss Hohipuha, a very graceful poi dance by Maori wahines, a song by Mr P. Enoka (who Avon a double encore), another haka, song by Mr Puku Rikihana, the whole concluding with a tableau* illustrative of Maori courtehip.
