The New Zealand Loan and MoJcantiio Agency Company, Limited, roport :— On Thursday, the sth inst., wo held a very successi' ul clearing sale on account of Messrs Page and McGregor on their farm at Mangarawa. The dairy cows showed good condition and quality, the majority bedng half-bred Jerseys, and realised the following prices;— Cows oalvod a. lew days £U to £5; cows been milking since March £5 2s (3d to £3 15s; springers £12 Vβ (id to £6'. The herd averaged £7 Bβ-Two-year springing lieiTers £5; purebred Jersey bull' £8; aged gelding *6. A few sundries were sold at satisfactory prices. On Wednesday, Ac 28th at 'Mrs John Englebreteen's sale we -Meted a roaji yearling presented by U" J. Englebretsen for the Wounded Soldiere , Fund, the purchasers being: A. Englebretson 30s; G. Lainbeer 20s. Also for -Qie..same fund a calf presentel by Mre Englebretsen was offered, the purchasers being: G. Lainbeer, A. Evans, Pastor Rice. D. Dunstow, R. M. Boyne, J. Wilson, Wi T>uncan, Stevens, W. J. Sedoole, 5s each; final Mrs Ries 10s. The Wounded ISoWiere , Fund will benefit-by £5 Sβ.
