THE EVACUATION Oi- WARSAW
During the advance Irom the Vistula the Germans encountered innumerable diiliculties. Thuf consequently were proceeded by military iiremen. Ostrauorfi, Groitez and ISlonie were in Oaiiies when occupied by the enemy. The last of the Russian troops loft Warsaw at 5 o'clock on Thursday morning. The evacuation was carried out iii perfect order from every street. The letterboxes were taKen to Moscow. Most of the shops were closed. Tho enemy aeroplanes to the last moment dropped bombs on the city. The decision to abandon Warsaw seems to have been precipitated by the advance oi great German foicos from the 'eft ol tut Narev in the direction of Ostrof.
