l'lio ma lull played yesterday alter uuon on the Levin parii domain between the above teams was the best match played in Levin so far this season, in tho first liali tho play was fairly even, and playing well together r/oxton scored two goals. Just before hah time Levin made a good attack and from some good passing in FoxtoiT's 2o the ball was passed to Foul in tho circle and he secured Levin's lirst goal. The lirst half ended Foxtoii two goals Levin, one. In the second half Levin did most ol the attacking and some exciting (struggles took place in Fox ton circle. nut Fox ton had not left all grit behind them; they brought plenty with them, and put up such a good do fence that Levin only scored ouco again, a good shot by bnuirt. Mow and again Foxton got away and took play towards tlieir opponents' end bin wt'vo brought back always beloro tilings got dangerous, until near tho cud Foxton made a determined efl'ort and" nearly succeeded, Levin's goalkeeper making a good save. Hut Levin way tired and tho visitors did not go back very far before they made another attack. To the Levin players their goal suddenly seemed to expand to about a chain width and Foxton scored a third goal and won a fiard fought ganie by three goals to two. Tho last ten minutes or so wore played in semi-dark ness. H this is going to obtain the management should havo. the ball coated with Jiiniinoiie paint and provide the players -with candles. Mr C H.
