Worcl has been received from Canada that the Karainea is bringing 445 tons of printing ])aper. Tiie supply of paper from Canada during the last tfiree months fell off considerably— to £ho extent of 1900 £ons. The requirements of papers in 'New Zealand fn the months of May, June and July were '3000 tons, so that there is a serious shortage.
