Tilt) NEW ZEALAND FARMERS' | CO-OPERATIVE DISTRIBUTING COMPANY, LTD. WEEKLY REPORT. The potato market shows sings of weakness-consequent on the Government prohibiting export. It is however, difficult to forecast values spread over the next few months, as crops in the couth are turning out lighter than was expected. A good demand is setting in for seed potatoes, of which we havo eomo excellent lines to oll'er. Onions continue low in price, but a sharp advance may be looked ror within the 'coiuso of the next lew weeks, as the local supply hats run out. There is very little moving in either wheat, oats, or barley. We can offer an excellent line of Java maize at a price under the market rato lately ruling ior this grain. Wo continue to make ready sales of our shipment of English rape, clue to arrive noxt month. Straw is in short, supply, while straw chalf, both oaten and wheaten, is m fair demand. Oaten sheaf chaff is lirni. The demand for pork pigs is good, and a fair supply is still coming into the market, Both fresh and preserved eggs are *low i sale. Honey is in good demand. There is a fairly heavy supply ot savoy cabbage, and low prices are being realised. The market is well supplied with cauliflowers, and prices are easier since last report. liipc marrows and ironbark pumpkins arc in short supply, and lines offering meet keen competition at satisfactory rates. Lettuces are lower since last report. We could handle larger consignments of choice table carrots, parsnips, and white turnips. •Swedes meet fair side mly. Spring onions and leeks are selling freely. Choice celery is meeting ready sale at high rates. There is a fair supply of both choice cooking and (.lessert app'es and the market is weaker since iasl report. Inferior lines meet very blow safe at low rates. A good demand exists for choice winter cole dessert pears, and the market could absorb larger consignment.
