It is however, difficult to forecast values spread over the nest few months, as crops in the couth are turning out lighter than was expected. A good demand is setting in for seed potatoes, of which we have some excellent lines to oiler. Unions contimic low in price, hut a sharp advance may be looked lor within the course of the next lew weeks, a* thy local supply has run out. There is very little moving in either wheat, oats, or barley. We can oiler an excellent line of Java maize at a price under the market rate lately ruling 'for this grain. We continue to make ready sales of our shipment of English rape, due to arrive next mouth. Straw is in short, supply, while straw chaff, both oaten and wheaten, is in fair demand. Oaten sheaf ehatf is firm. The demand for pork pigs is good, and a fair supply is still coming into tbu market. Both fresh and preserved eggs are «iow i sale. Honey is in good demand. There is a fairly heavy supply oi savoy cabbage, and low prices are being realised.

Iho market is well supplied with cauliflowers, aud prices are easier since last report. Ripe marrows aud jroubark pumpkins are in shoi c (supply, aud lines ;t olforing meet keeu competition at satisfactory rates. Lettuces arc lower since last report. We could handle larger consignments of choice table carrots, parsnips, and white turnips. Swedes meet fair sale inly. Spring onions and leeks are selling freely. Choice celery is meeting ready sale at , high rates. There is a fair supply u' both choice cooking and dessert apples and the market is weaker since mst report, Inferior lines meet very slow ' sale at low rates.
