-News lias been received ol the minder of a coolie employed on a plantation in Samoa. The man had been at tacked with an axe and the body was ltorrioly mutilated. The autEor of The ci ime is unknown. News also has been received of another murder on July Bth by an Indian at Somabitla in the Fiji group. The vijtim was a girl about fifteen years of age. She was shot and the murder >r flien paraded the neighbourhood with a plentiful supply of ammunition.
