This afternoon Lieut.-Adjutant Jamieson called at The Clironicle office, on behalf of the camp commandant (Captain Jolly) to oppress the appreciation felt by all the troops for the many kindnesses extended to them during their stay in Levin by the people of this town. Special reference was i> ade to the efforts of the mayor and mayoress. The officers and men had been treated right well and they were sorry indeed that their stay could not bo longer.
