Horowhenua Trotting Club.

4 In response to the call ol the secretary for the annual meeting, about half-a-dozen attended at the Levin Hotel last evening. * Mr J. W. Procter was elected to the chair. The secretary (Mr B. R. Gardener) read tho balance-sheet which showed a credit balance of £4. 10s. The balance-sheet was adopted as read. Tkv opiimn was expressed that as the unable to obtain a permit for it would be useless to attempt to carry on. It was decided to call a further mooting to consider the winding up of the club.
