THk NEW ZEALAND FARMERS' co-operative DISTRIBUTING COMPANY, LTD. WEEKLY REPORT. The potato market shows sings of weakness consequent on the Government prohibiting export. It is however, difficult to 'forecast values spread over the next few months, as crops in the couth are turning out lighter than was expected. A good demand is setting in for seed potatoes, of which iwo have some excellent lines to olfer. Onions continue low in price, but a ehai-p advance may 'be looked lor within the course of the next few weeks, as the local supply has run out. There is very little moving in either wEeat, oats, or barley. We can offer an excellent line of Java maize at a price under the market rate lately ruling for this grain. We continue to make ready Bales of our shipment of English rapo, due to arrive next month. Straw is m short supply, while straw chaff, both oaten and wheaten, is in fair demand. Oaten sheaf chaff is firm. The demand for pork pigs is good, and a fair supply is still coming into the market. Both fresh and preserved eggs are «low jf sale. Honey is in good demand. There is a fairly heavy supply or savoy cabbage, and low prices are being realised. The market is well supplied with caul.' flowers, and prices are easier since last report. Ripe marrows and ironbark pumpkins are in short"supply, and lines offering meet keen competition at satisfactory rates. Lettuces are lower since last report. We could handle larger consignments of choice table carrots, parsnips, and white turnip.?. Swedes meet fair sale inly. Spring onions and leeks are selling freely. Choice celery is meeting ready sale at high rates. There is a fair supply of both choice cooking and dessert apples and the market is weaker since iust report. Inferior lines meet very donsale at low rates. A good demancl exists for choice winter coie dessert pears, and the market could absorb larger consignment.
