Councillor Dempsey, of Levin,wrote to the member for the district regarding the suitability of Levin for purposes of a training camp for a part of the troops now in training '.t Trent-ham,' but to bo removed from there on account of health reasons. In reply, Councillor Dempsey has seceived a telegram from Mr Field. M.P., as follows:—"I asked Government in the House to select drier, warmer ,healthier camp than Trentham, and they decided yesterday remove men immediately to otlicr localities including Waikanao, Himitangi, Rangiotu. however, are not permanently chosen, and Government invited suggestions other sites.
