There Js a slightly easier tone in the oa': market. Wheat is unchanged. The recent shipment ot maize from Java has eased the ma/rket, which was previously bare. All meals are in good demand, also linseed oil cake. Large sales have been made during the of English-grown rape, tarmers realising the importance of not risking the. cheaper seed from France and Japan. Molasses is still shorty but supplies are expected about the end ot the month. Chaff is firmer and in good demand. Oaten straw chaff is now available, and as brokers are endeavouring to buy tor I Australia, a (ready sale is anticipated j and clients are advised to book without delay. Pork pigs are in fair demand. Eggs have coine .back in price, quite contrary to all expectations. We tliink values will firm again shortly.
