Results.— fGdnappers' Hack Hurdles.—Hurakia 1, Scutineer 2, Forelight 3. Scratched: Pipeclay. Won by three lengths. At present visiting Palinerston is Mr Clark McConaohy, a champion billardist of Xew Zealand. Last evening at Mr G. West's rooms lie played a game oi 750 up conceding his opponent, local player, 350. Mr CcConaeliy won rather easily, going out with a break of 27 when his opponent was 543. The winner gave a very good exhibition, showing a scientific knowledge of the game. -He was particularly at home j with the losing hazard stroke, and his I best break of tne evening, 119, comI prised 108 off the red. Several other ;breaks, "C 3, 51,52 and 50 were mostly obtained a fairly good break by cradle j cannons. At the conclusion he gave I an exhibition of scientific and fancy I shots, which were appreciated <by a » large number present. Standard. .
