♦— —— THE OFFICIAL LIST. - At the nieoting of tiie iiorowlienua Racing Club (a report of which appeared 'in our issue of tiaturday) the fonowing officers were elected:— Patron, Mr. W. H. Field, M.P.; President, Mr. B. A. McDonald; vice-i Jresideuts, Messrs Jas. McLeavey, B. R. Gardener, F. Easton, Major Tatum, P. ■Bartholomew, J. Kebbeli, W. McKegg. The poll for election of twelve stewards resulted as follows:—Messrs. H. Wintlley, L. McDonald, S. W. Garter, \V. McKegg, F. Nicholson, J*. Procter, F. L. Jackson, Winiata Pataka, —. Grant, E. S. Lancaster, G. Watson, W. Hull. Mr. F. Retter was proposed for I election, but declined the nomination, j Treasurer, Mr. F. G. Roe; clerk of the scales, Mr. W. Bull; clerk of the | course, Mr R. Cameron; secretary, Mr A. W. Richter; auditors, Messrs. Arcus and Gould; bankers, Bank of Australasia. ' The retiring president (Mr. MoLeavey) at this stage called upon the new president (Mr. R. A. McDonald) to Fake the chair. On doing so, Mr. McDonald returned thanks, and said he would endeavour to carry out the ( duties of. the position allotted to him to the best of hie ability. Mr. George Watson proposed that' a hearty vote of thanks be accorded to the retiring president and i

Mr. Bevan proposed that a vote of th'anlcs fee accorded to our memUißr (Mr. Field) for the amount of troubl# he had gone to in getting the racing permit restored. This was seconded uy Mr. MoLeavey, and oarried by acclamation. A number of new members were made and a vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting.
