The euchre party and dance organised by the Levin Ladies' Carnival Committee an dheld last evening in the Druids' Hall was a pronounced success. In the euchre tournament the lady's prize was won by Miss Brown, of the Levin school staff, and for the men's prize Messrs C Howe (Levin) and 15. Johnson (Weraroa) tied tor first place. The dance proved a most enjoyable one. Miss I. Pink played music satisfactory in every way and Miss Merrick played extras. Mr F. Pink acted as MO. A surplus of cakes and sandwiches was disposed of by public auction. The afternoon gathering of ladies was well attended and an enjoyable afternoon was passed. A "hidden words" competition was tied for by Mrs Randerson and Miss Reeve. FOR FOOTBADLERS ONLY.
