LEVIN'S SPECIAL'EFFORT. To give the general public a faint idea of just what this carnival is to be, we here outline a few ot the many attractive features that will 1)0 seen or. Wednesday nest at the domain. First and foremost the monster grand procession •(rill move off from the railway station at 10,30 a.m. In the procession will be many attractive displays, si icli as decorated motor care, lorries, motor cycles and push cycles, buggies, tradesmen's carts, etc., as well as specially arranged tableaux of various kinds, and many humorous characters, such as clowns, dummies, suffragettes, etc. Altogether the procession will be one of the finest seen" on the coast for some considerable time. The domain grounds will be specially deco--rated, and various stalls and humorous side-shows will be erected. The committee is working at high speed, and doubtless their efforts will be well rewarded. Visitors arc expected from all parts of the iManawatu. JSwouragecl by the' success wt the grout. harvest *«tlo .•Newtown i-'ark, Wellington. ,on the liing's Birthday, the iNew Zealand Society lias decided to hold -another sale in connection with the nugo carnival bazaar, which opens in the Wellington Town Hall next Monday, June 14th. Gifts of all kind's are needed for the various stalls, n\id the executive confidently appeals to the . people of this district for assistance in that connection. The bazaar is certain to attract enormous crowds and selling will -he brisk, therefore large quantities of goods will be disposed of. The whole proceeds are to go to the Fund for
Wounded Soldiers and Dependents. Every reader is appealed to for as many gilts as possible, in the way of prodnoo and fancy goods, etc.;-— anything which ean be sold for [iounds, shillings, and pence. The bazaar and sale opens next Monday, and goods may he sent on that day, or during the following week. The carnival is still ibedng held and special attractions are arranged for every day. The chairman of the Patriotic Society is Mr H. G. Hill, and the secretary is Mr Joseph Lewis, Grey street, Wellington, from whom all particulars may be obtained.
