Hlis Excellency the Governor hae issued the following notice with regard to tho Hospital Ship:—"in view ol the splendid response which hixa been accorded from all over the Dominion to my appeal for equipping tho Hospital Ship, 1 think the time iias arrived ■when a date should be given for the closiiig of Hie fund, therefore I should be glad if no further contributions are sent to tho Uuder-iSecretar.y for "Internal. Affairs after Wednesday, June 23rd. As soon as all wepense* connected with the Hospital Ship have -been paid 1 propose to place die surplus money on deposit in the Bank of New Zealand for any purposes fftoic'u in any way affect the well-being of our sick and wounded, whether by "replenishment of comforts for the Hospital Ship, base hospitals, stationary hospitals or convalescent homes.
