WHERE LABOUR COUiNTS,
London, June 4
Addressing tlie Dockers' Battalion at Liverpool the Rt. Hon. D. Lloyd-George said that there never was a war where labour at home counted lor so much. If it gets disorganised, and does not pull with the Government and State the result would be that the whole war machine would be clogged, broken, and disorganised, and in the end we would be defeated, not because our soldiers were not valiant—tor they are as brave as ever—not because they were not fighting skilfully, but because they we,re not getting the necessary support at home. The fact that you have submitted to military conditions show that you. are prepared t<> do your duty to your country in one of the greatest crises that ever has . befallen it. If everyone does his duty as you we shall win through in the end.
