INVITATION TO OUR READERS
Iu another column our readers are reminded of a demonstration to take place at New.town Park, Wellington, on Thursday next, June 3rd (King's Birthday). The grand procession which is to leave the Government Buildings at ten o'clock lor Newtown Park will be one of tho special features. A splendid sports x>rogram has bt«en arranged including a Rugby football match, national dress, and many other favourite items, xn the evening the public will be entertained by the Dark Town Fire Brigade, picture shows, vaudeville, ets. Special attrac-' tions are being arranged tor visitors to Wellington and these will take place until the end of June. A big consideration will be the reduction of faree to visitors from the country. ■ Tickets will be reduced to excursion ratce. Every penny spent goes to assist a splendid cause-—our wounded boys and the dependent* of this killed. The total proceeds of tho carnival will be given to that noblo work. .
