The orchards, gardens and apiaries division of the Department of Agriculture will conduct classes m fruit' grading and fruit-packing at the show to be held at. Palmersion .North on 22nd, 23rd, 21th and 25th June. Competitions will be held on the 23rd and 2'ltli,""coriiiuoticing at 3 p.m. and will be (tSuductcd by officers oi the department. A first prize of £1 Is anof a second prize of 10s Gd will be given each day. In addition the Jlanawatu and "West, Coast A. and 1\ Association will give a special prize of £1 Is and a championship certificate to the final winner. Messrs J. Nathan and Co., of "Wellington, also will give special prizes of £1. )s and 10s (3d for each of the main competitions. Entry forms and conditions may be obtained from MrlMni-co Fosolla, secretary to the Horowhenua Fruitgrowers' Association, or at -Mr D. Smart's rooms. A further sale of produce, etc.. for the "Wellington Carnival funds was held in Mrs. D. Haunan's store, Oxford Street, Levin, on Saturday night. The (sale produced the sum of £15.
