A young foreigner was being triad in court, and the questioning of the lawyer 011 the opposite side began. . "Now, Laszky, what do you do?" "VenP" asked Laczky. "When your work, of course," said the lawyer. "Vy, vork—" "I know," said the lawyer, , "but what at?" "At a bench." "Oh!" groaned the lawyer. "Where do you' work at a bench?" "In a factory." "What kind of a factory " "Brick." "You make bricks?" sj* "No, de factory is made uv bricks.' 5 "Now, Laszky, listen," said thie lawyer. "What do you make in thai factory?" "Thirty bob a week." Xo no! What does the factory make?" "I dunno; a lot uv money, I think," "No, listen! What kind of good* does the factory produce?" "Oh," said Laszky, "good goode." "I know; but what kind of good goods?" "The best." "The best of what?" "The best there in." "Of what?" "Of dose goods." "Your honour," said the lawyer, "I give up."
