Apples were plentiful and sold at 5s (id to Vs b'd per case. J 'ears and quinces are off and none came to hand. The winter varieties ol pears will not come to hand for
about another month. There has boon a good demand for fruit trees through the depot, for the local district; Jonathans, Stunners and Washington varieites of apple tivos being mostly enquired for. There also has been a good enquiry tor the early varieties of peach trees. Potatoes are .selling freely at from £o to £5 10s. Onions have been very slow of sale at about Id per lb.
OTHER PRODUCE. For other classes of the produce the following- prices are ruling locally:— Dairy butter Is 2d per lb; separator butter Is 4d per lb; eggs Is lOd per dozen: potatoes £$ 10; onions 6s Gd per cut.
